  • 12:00 Opening ceremony of The Austrian Week in Pärnu Central Library (Akadeemia 3, Pärnu), Salzburg Music School’s concert conducted by Elke Krahm, opening of the exhibition by Peter & Regina Rieder
  • 12:00 Ranna Library (Papiniidu 50) “Austrian fairytales and children’s literature”. Fairy-tale teller Jaak Känd introduces Austrian authors to children.
  • 17:00 Austrian Ambassador’s reception at Ammende Villa /invitations only/ (Mere pst. 7, Pärnu), speeches, opening of the exhibition „Mahler and Vienna“, performing artist Ka Bo Chan (contratenor, China) and Mirva Helske (piano, Finland)
  • 12:00 – 16:00 Ski jumps from the removable tower „Marumägi“ at the Martens Square, Pärnu. Guidance by instructors. FREE
  • Curling camp for the youth at Jõulumäe Tervisespordikeskus (Leina village, Tahkuranna parish, Pärnumaa). For youngsters from RVK Open Youth Center – because of weather postponed for the future
  • Pärnu Central Library, the German reading room is displaying Austrian literature (Akadeemia 3, Pärnu)

  • 14:00 Austrian themed day at the Old-Pärnu Cultural Center (Haapsalu mnt.11, Pärnu). A coversation with a big Austrian fan –  Ela Tomson, and Piccolo Harmonica Club Concert.
  • 15:00 Salzburg Music School’s concert conducted by Elke Krahm at Raeküla Old School Center (Lembitu 1, Pärnu)
  • 17:00 poetry evening – Poetry Club Luuletaeva Latern and creative membership of the Two Jaak and Friends, students studying the German language. Music by Raeküla Old School Retroansambel. Presented are such Austrian poets as Lenau, Rilke, Trakli, Artmann, Bachmann, Celan, Aichinger, Gerstli, Mayröckeri, Jandli. The evening is completed with Henrik Visnapuu poems, which he wrote in Austria after leaving Estonia. Cafe Grand (Kuninga 25, Pärnu)
